VS1073 Prototyping Board implements a simple standalone multiformat audio player that uses VS1073 device and SD card.

Source code is (will be) available from the prototyping board support page. Reprogramming the SPI EEPROM with the board itself is possible using RS232-UART or USB-UART adapter (see accessories).

By removing the SPI EEPROM and some jumpers, the prototyping board can be wired to a microcontroller board and used as a slave decoder.

The board includes a single cell switching power supply, VS1073 device in LQFP package, clock, reset, headphone and microphone circuitry as well as SD card connector with supply signals readily connected. It also has a wire-wrap area for adding user-specific features.
