VS23S010D-L is a flexible one megabit SRAM memory and a PAL/NTSC video controller with SPI or 8-bit parallel bus. It contains an internal video DAC, memory and all the necessary timing and control logic to display a composite video image (external crystal needed). In a typical application, a microcontroller configures the device registers and sets up a frame buffer in the internal memory. The VS23S010 then keeps displaying that image and the microcontroller can update the video memory to modify the picture.
If the Video Controller is not needed, VS23S010D-L can be used as a standard SPI SRAM or a 8-bit parallel bus SRAM memory.
